Hey! This is my first post in the year of 2012! Well, most bloggers will start their first post with how they celebrated their Christmas and New Year. But I'm currently lacking time, so I might just tell you about that later. Sighs, thinking about 2012 just reminds me that the earth is going to explode in no time. I don't wanna just end my life this way! It's tooooo miserable :( . Okay, let's not think about the melancholic side but think positively.
Yesterday was truly a busy day! Early in the morning, my mum fetched me to the dentist. My teeth are actually hurting a lot right now. It's so tightened up and I can feel that all the teeth are moving to a different position. This isn't my first time so I got used to it already. It gives a lot of pain after the appointments every single time. But after a few days, the pain will just fade away. Also, my braces are in coral colour, which is a very striking colour and I'm lovin' it. Initially, I was thinking of having blue, again. For your information, I've got braces in turquoise, sky blue, ocean blue, aqua and many other blues. So i guess it's time for me to change into a fresh colour. It isn't that bad, though.
After that, I had violin, piano and theory class continuously. Ohhhh I'm so glad I am able to sit for the last grade of violin in June! You won't believe this, I actually got stuck in grade 8 for 2 years. Normal people out there would take merely 1 year but ahem, I am unique in a kind of way, haha. Piano diploma class is a torture. My teacher got me this Hanon book and it's more on finger exercising. It's tough, dude. I would rather play a hundred pieces of waltzes by Chopin than playing these exercises every day. Sobs. No pain no gain. I shall just bear with all the torments, heh.
Then, I went for swimming lesson, ALONE. #foreveralone. Xiaoteng, Jiaying and my sister had menses TOGETHER. I do not know if this is a mere coincidence or a beautiful lie -.- . Good thing is that, I can finally swim breaststroke without any floaties!! #victory. I don't know why I'm so into swimming these days. Whenever I see water, I'll think of the pool. And whenever I think of the pool, I'll have the urge to swim :D . As you know, I don't exercise much, and swimming is considered as an extreme exercise since swimming virtually depends on the movement of our entire body.
Just now, the sisters and I baked chocolate cookies and they're simply delicious! And that's where my inspiration to blog about what my friends and I baked last month comes from. Jiaying and Xiaoteng came over after our swimming lesson last few weeks. We attempted to bake macaroons and our plan ended up pretty fine. The macaroons didn't taste that GOOD but they weren't really bad. Plus, it was my first attempt and I considered that as a success. We baked macaroons in lychee, banana and chocolate flavours, with nutella and peanut butter as the fillings. The macaroons were sort of out of the norm 'cos they were all out of shape. Some cracked but most of them were fine. We have already lessened the amount of sugar but my mum said that the macaroons were way too sweet.
Then, we baked cookies! Whenever we took out the tray of cookies from the oven, Jiaying would put it into the freezer (for less than 5 minutes) to make the cookies cooler. That was Jiaying's smart solution to cool down the cookies and there was one time when she literally put the tray in and has forgotten to take it out. At night, my dad screamed 'cos he was astonished to see a tray of cookies in the freezer -.- . Fortunately, they were still edible and surprisingly, they tasted really gooood. Haha, you should try that next time, peeps :) . Sighs, since school has officially restarted, I can't really find time to bake as my schedule is kind of packed up. Especially during the weekends, I have sooooo many classes. How sad :( .
During the holidays, I went to Suanne's house and slept over for 6 nights. Agatha, Suanne and I baked chocolate cookies with marshmallows. It was awesome I tell you! They tasted so heavenly I was munching on the cookies profusely I couldn't stop. Moreover, the heated-marshmallows were gooooood. They were crunchy and a little salty which totally made a perfect match! When we were doing our last tray, Suanne suggested to make a humongous heart-shaped cookie. I don't know why we ended up making something different. I made 2 cookies. One was a x'mas tree and another one was a scary smiley face. They tasted awesome even though the x'mas tree cookie I made looked like an ice-cream cone after being heated in the oven. Alright, I shall let the pictures speak now :D !
So, what about school? How's it? Everything's fine? Yeap, that's what most of my friends asked me recently. Sometimes, I just feel like screaming AHHHHHHH, CAN I JUST GO BACK AND REUNITE WITH ALL OF YOU??!! I didn't, of course. Instead, I told them that everything's fine but I just miss them a lot. As a matter of fact, I don't hate my new school nor do I hate the teachers and new friends there. They're good, really good. But, imagine, I studied in KC for three damn years and my friends there are practically precious beyond infinity. How can I not feel sad? Honestly, I didn't feel sad for leaving at all on the last day of school. In fact, I was feeling super hyped up to leave that darn school. But now, I only realized that, friends are currently the force to pull me back. I don't know. Maybe it's because I still haven't got used to the new surroundings. Or maybe, it's just 1 week of school and things might turn out better when time goes by. You ask me if I regret it or not, I'll elect to answer you, I don't know.
Friendship
is a single soul
dwelling in two bodies.
