:: HEY THERE DELILAH ::

Arghhhh, is the weather today really terribly hot or is it just me? I feel like the stickiest person on earth. Plus, my class's air-conditioners were not working and I just felt like jumping off the building because of the superbly stuffy atmosphere. Anyway, today we started decorating (or much rather re-decorating) our class for Merdeka. Our back and front doors look really cool now with the Malaysia's flag design, so I hope it can help us to win the competition even though the possibility of winning is almost to zero, haha... Speaking about Merdeka, yes, tomorrow IS Merdeka. There will be a gathering for the 'Janji Demokrasi' crew in Dataran Merdeka later which I should be also joining with my father but none of my friends can make it so argh, let's just forget it. It's going to be pretty fun though. And it actually reminds me about my experience during the Bersih Rally 3.0!

So, yesterday I started watching this highly-recommended Korean drama by my sister and friends called Iris. It's got an extremely intense plot that hangs your heart halfway when it comes to the end of each episodes. However, I personally think that it's pretty much a waste that the main male character isn't very attractive enough, hahaha.... Or maybe he could look better and clean if he shaved (like the clean him in G.I. Joe). Nevertheless, the female main character is extraordinarily beautiful, in spite of her obvious wrinkles at the edge of her eye lids. Hah, oh well, I hope I don't get too addicted to this or 'else my darling Hong Kong dramas will be neglected :( .

Last Tuesday, the family and I had dinner at Victoria Station - the one and only restaurant that can never fail to reach my heart's content since young. The ambience was beyond satisfaction, foods were as mouthwatering as usual, service was totally pampering :) . I don't know if I'm promoting it but hey, it is definitely a perfect place for a date yo!

Ignore my face, but hey MY HAIR LOOKED LONGER HERE!

All-time-fav: cheese and garlic escargots.

I'm sorry but my dad sucks at smiling for a photo.

I've been delaying for an update about the class trip for months but I'm still updating about it right now 'cos there's someone who will never stop nagging me and uhum, you know who you are, haha. Zoo Negara was terrible. Plus, the weather on that day was definitely not comforting at all. Hot, dirty, stinky - no fun :( . I hate how animals in Malaysia love lazing around and not even giving an attempt to attract the tourists by doing something fun. Like showing a catwalk, or shaking their butts, or just c'mon, ROAR!! Would I get the opportunity to visit the authentic safari in South Africa, that would be great! Like what LiXian told us about her 10-day vacation in South Africa last week, the animals there were active all the time! She could even see all kinds of animals (zebras, elephants, peacocks etc.) crossing the road just at any time! In short, the sole interesting thing I found in the the zoo was the Bengal Tiger sponsored by my school.

After that, we went to Aquaria, a place that has maximized our boredom. Nothing nice inside. Fishes, fishes and more fishes. Nothing much to say since the photos represent a thousand words. Plus, I feel a little tingle in my head now since I'm literally brainstorming a lot to recall about it. Oh well, I shall stop babbling right now since you people don't even give a damn to reading my pointless words, haha. Time for drama before my beauty sleep! Goodnight peeps!

Its butt is sexy and we know it.

Can you seeeeee?? The elephant was bathing!

A little disgusted by the starfish though.

:: IF YOU EVER COME BACK ::

Today is such a rainy day that somehow it gives me more inspirations to blog! This morning, I woke up early to practise the piano sonata by Beethoven and dang, I realized it actually consists of 26 pages! Wondering how much of stamina I need during exam since I will have to perform 4 different pieces without any rests! After that, the family and I went to Paradigm Mall for more shopping and we had lunch at The Pancake House (I was so smart that I thought it was Paddington House of Pancakes). Sadly to say, the service was absolutely beyond the word, horrible. The foods weren't that horrible but still, the service was intolerable. We practically sat there like a few decades and eventually only my peach waffle came. Then when I was going to munch on my very last bite, theirs came one by one, now you should imagine how much time we have taken to wait for our lunch to be served! Nevertheless, the flame of angst in us was extinguished by all the supreme sales, sales and more SALES :D , haha!

Oh yea, how could I even forget to mention that my kakak who worked for us for 6 years had left? How absent-minded of me! But I wasn't feeling a little of misery in me before she left. However, when she was to leave at the airport, her tears trickled down hysterically, which gave me a strong feeling of guilt. Yes, I should have given her something memorable so that she would be able to reminisce the days with us for the past few years instead of giving her just a BM novel that I don't even know if it's interesting or not (but it's alright 'cos she likes reading, right?). Poor doggie Jeff, poor him! He missed her so much that he hasn't pooped for 3 days and he refuses to eat when he'e supposed to eat! I hope these aren't the symptoms of depression in dogs! Well, our new maid isn't very bad, though. I had fun baking pavlova cake with her just now and in overall, she's absolutely a very motherly maid!

Yesterday, I had steamboat dinner with my relatives who we only get to meet them once in a blue moon. I was having a very common teenage conversation with my cousin sister who is 2 years older than me (don't misunderstand, people. Nothing to do with love but career in the future). Surprisingly, she is facing the exact same predicaments that most of us are facing, I think. She's uncertain of her future, whether to go to the right or to the left. Sighs. How I hope time would stop for a while 'cos I definitely do not want all the worries and crossroads to come :( . Oh well, this, is life.

So, last Tuesday was YingYing's birthday and I baked her 12 tiramisu cupcakes! First of all, I would really want to thank triple w dot cupcake project dot com for providing such an awesome pawsome dawsome recipe! It was my first attempt and I wasn't giving too much of expectations before that but in the end it tasted so heavenly that I was sure that I would use the same recipe for the next time! To be frank, baking tiramisu cupcakes is pretty time-consuming and yes, it took be approximately 5 precious hours! Oh not to forget, mascarpone cheese and rum are two very essential ingredients, so if you ever think of changing these two ingredients, please knock your head and say no, haha! Anyhow, I really hope she appreciates what I've done for her 'cos even the very teeny bits of cocoa powder comes from my heart with genuine sincerity.

Look, even Jeff loved it :D !
Last Sunday night, the Hau's family and the Chen's family had a sumptuous dinner at Elcerdo which was absolutely a heaven to me. The framed pictures of the pigs, the cute little piggy ornaments and so forth, TELL ME HOW COULD I EVER RESIST IT? The foods were so mouthwatering that I felt that my stomach was somehow enlarged to the level in which I could keep on eating without even feeling full at all! Also, Jane, WenHui and I had great entertainment by watching a horror movie with her iPad called 'Zhen Zi'. I was amazed how I could even bear with the scary background music and abrupt appearance of the ugleh ghosts. Alright alright, back to the foods. My favourite food was the smoked pork that looked like smoked salmon to me. The taste wasn't that likable 'cos people tend to think that the taste is odd. Well, shall I categorize myself as unique anyway?

Elcerdo is a very famous Spanish restaurant where the customers who order the signature roasted suckling pig get the opportunity to 'throw-away-bad-luck' through a traditional Spanish procedure. I volunteered to give it a try since they weren't that daring to make so much noise in front of other customers, haha. Firstly, I had to hold a plate and hit it 3 times on a piece of wood (of course, with the guidance of an amazingly attractive waiter), then separate the suckling pigs by hitting it with the same plate at the neck, stomach and butt. In the end, I had to throw the plate into a wooden bucket to break it 'cos according to their superstitions, my bad luck was all in the plate and to vanish it I had to break it. Haha, pretty fun but I pity all the innocent plates!

Oh well, I shall get going with my drama called '3 Kingdoms' now. Before ending this post, I would like to wish all my Malay friends (okay okay, I have to admit that so far I only have 2 Malay friends but that still counts okay) a very Selamat Hari Raya and may you receive the best of luck in beauty, wealth and health! Ahhh not to forget, tomorrow there'll be nice food for me again! Stay tuned for my next post ;) !

Oh my, adorable is the word.

:: WHAT MAKES YOU BEAUTIFUL ::

Hey earthlings! I'm genuinely sorry for abandoning my blog for more than one month. My schedule recently is virtually packed up with countless of Hong Kong dramas and I just can't suck my soul back from the addiction. Haha, Hong Kong dramas are absolutely drugs that kill. Yesterday I finally finished this amazing drama called 'Witness Insecurity'. So, it's about WPU polices, the lives of the rich and the immense love between Bosco and Linda. To be frank, I couldn't really feel the chemistry between both the main characters but the ending was enough to tell that they have been through so much - lies, reluctance, confusion. Anyway, the rumour about Bosco and Myolie breaking up is pretty much expected earlier. I don't see why they should be together since both of them frequently don't see eye to eye to very small matters.

Sometimes when I'm free, I would lay back and ask myself the same old question that has been pondering in my mind profusely. What would I be doing if I were still in KC. Haha, stacks of homeworks with undesirable extreme advance maths, 3 sciences and some other subjects that I don't learn right now? Yeap. Thinking about all that actually managed to convince myself that life is getting better, but I hope it's not just convincing but as a matter of fact, the truth. These days, I've been doing things that I wanted to fulfill for the past three years, things that I never had the time to focus on, things that I wanted to nail but was forced to alter my concentration on the stress from school. At least for now, I spend my entire evening practising the violin and piano, TV shows before dinner, and what's up after dinner? Drama marathons? Absolutely! It's true that I'm becoming such a lazy bum bum but hey, it's my last year before SPM and I seriously do not mind being told that I should buck up or whatsoever.

By the way, after getting my excellent result for my last violin exam before further diplomas, I have baked chocolate cookie sandwiches with nutella as filling and chocolate ganache as the glazing for my teachers. They loved it so much that they requested for another tray, haha. But the main purpose was to thank two of my teachers who have put in a lot A LOT of effort for me to succeed. 5 hours of detention class every Saturday and Sunday, the endless and embarrassing lectures, I suddenly feel that everything was worth it. I remember how I used to look down on violins. I felt that it was the worst musical instrument that was ever invented. I wanted it to vanish so badly. After more than 10 years of bonding, the sound has become the best sound to be heard with full emotions and sensations. Sorry for the craps but here is a performing piece worth listening to - Mozart violin concerto in A major, K219.

On the last day of monthly test (It was on a Saturday and somehow I realized I kind of got used to not going to school on Saturdays, haha), I went for a steeeeeeaaaamboat party in ZhiSan's house. VEGETARIAN steamboat party, precisely. ZhiSan adopted a Japanese called Chikaro from the student exchange programme in school. JiaWen also adopted another Japanese called Seika and I had such a blast trying SO hard to communicate with them. FYI, I have zero foundation of communicating in Japanese, unlike JiaWen, ZhiSan and Wendy who could get what they were trying to convey without even having to show hand gestures, haha. I think we were sort of disturbing her neighbours 'cos we were being very loud, as in the 'loud' that is definitely beyond your imagination. But oh well, I don't really care if it bothered anyone around the neighbourhood 'cos as long as we were having fun, no one NO ONE could stop us.

I guess all of us were way too hyped up that we had to request for more bananas from ZhiSan's mom so that we could choreograph our 'Banana' dance (Please watch the trailer of Despicable Me 2). We practically spent most of the time laughing our asses off, well, as usual. Sadly, our dance still kind of failed 'cos we couldn't synchronize our hand movements and all, haha. After some I'm-really-bad-at-it poker card games, some of them decided to watch a horror movie called 'gui lai dian' and I'm actually quite proud of myself 'cos I was able to seize my courage to watch the first five minutes of the movie where the swing started swinging like there was someone on it but there wasn't anyone, haha...

Seika and Chikaro are both really nice Japanese girls and I hope to see them some other day, albeit rather impossible... By the way, I was very excited about the drama competition in Penang during the raya holidays that my friends and I participated in. However, ZhiSan just told me that I was sort of kicked out from the competition as the members in each group are supposed to be the representatives of the same school. And yes, I'm the only outsider. No doubt, I'm extremely disappointed 'cos I thought I could have an eventful one week of school holidays doing something meaningful. Sighs, today is pretty much a bad day. I think I should end my post here and get busy with some preparations for the birthday bash tomorrow...

Ready for foooood?

Reminder: VEGETARIAN steamboat :)
The best curry ever!
